The new Resort Český les invites you into pristine countryside full of undiscovered beauty
The owners have returned to their home ground and opened a place that lets guests discover a landscape full of remarkable spots and history. Thanks to its mysterious past, this region, still undiscovered by tourists, opens up untouched nature along with the stories of border villages erased from the map.
Resort Český les lies on the border with Germany, and it is not far to Šumava either. It offers hiking and cycling trips, rest, event options, culinary experiences and wellness. Modern design runs through the entire building in harmony with the surrounding forests and meadows. The brand-new Resort Český les opened in spring 2023, and its visitors can plan not only a family or relaxation stay but also a team-building event, a celebration or a wedding. It occupies former barracks whose reconstruction was entrusted to the architectural studio Konceptual. Studios in various categories are furnished in the calming tones of light wood with colourful accents. Nature motifs carry over into the wall decorations as well. In the family apartments, besides a comfortable double bed, you will also find the ECLISSE sofa bed by Vitarelax. A full mattress is part of it, so it is suitable for everyday sleeping too. In short, the rooms offer everything you need on holiday.
Food lovers will get their money's worth too, because the resort includes the Hvozd restaurant, where in addition to a generous breakfast you can enjoy an authentic seasonal menu made from ingredients supplied by local producers. Head chef Martin Šiling takes care of your taste buds. The interior is once again inspired by nature. SHARON chairs with a wooden frame and upholstery were chosen for seating. Their geometric shapes echo pine needles, cones and morning dew, while antlers adorn the ceiling.
If you fancy a glass of something good, the underground Kotelna bar will treat you to a broad selection of quality drinks and delight you with an original wall sculpture. In fine weather you can enjoy grilled specialities and breathtaking views on the outdoor terrace. Seating there is provided by AFRICA armchairs and chairs, with and without armrests, and tables from the same collection. Large and small practical WOW poufs by Pedrali complete the overall impression. Made of plastic, they withstand bad weather and are easy to clean. Another clever touch that keeps drinks refreshingly cold is the ice container with the fitting name FROZEN by the manufacturer Plust.
There is also a wellness zone where you can recharge after demanding days. After time in the sauna or steam room, ATLANTICO loungers by Nardi Garden and CARAIBI by Contral await you. Both models boast a sturdy frame, a breathable surface and adjustable positions. If business brings you to Resort Český les, you can also make use of the conference room. It is fitted with comfortable ARTESIA chairs with clean lines by the Gaber brand. Their technopolymer shells in various shades sit on a steel sled base. Individual pieces can be stacked, so storing them at any time is no problem.
The environmental credentials of the whole aparthotel are worth a mention too. The use of renewable sources, solar panels, heat pumps and heat-recovery ventilation reduces energy consumption and helps protect the environment.
