It has not even been a year since Resort Český les opened, and in late autumn the existing main building of the Aparthotel Železná was joined by a new sister concept: a boutique hotel created in the building of a former First Republic school.
Just eight generously proportioned rooms, with elegant interiors inspired by the earthy tones of the surrounding countryside, offer an intimate atmosphere and a rare degree of privacy within sight of the deep forests of the Chodsko borderland. Guests of this new addition also have the well-established Hvozd restaurant in the resort's main building at their disposal, with its light, modern interpretation of regional recipes in comfort-food style. The star of the season is roast fillet of sturgeon with cauliflower salad, raisins and onion espuma, and the fish here really is as fresh as it gets: Hvozd raises its own in the Železný pond just a few hundred metres away, part of the Srdíčko game park.
